This is the famous
FT290 preamplifier. It replaces the PIN diode RF switch with a low
loss relay and adds a variable gain preamplifier before the existing
receiver. The preamplifier has been redesigned in surface mount
technology to enable the unit to be fitted to the FT290MkII. Please
state MkI (s) or MkII (s2) when ordering as the fitting instructions
and accessories are different.
